6th Grade with Morah Marissa

September 11, 2016

Dear 6th Grade Parents,

We had a wonderful first day and a spectacular T’fillah with Dan Nichlos!

Today was an introductory lesson about K’tuvim/Writing section of the Hebrew Bible, or Tanach. They reflected on how God is revealed in the world both past and present and answered three questions (see picture attached). Also they studied, in small groups or pairs, different K’tuvim texts using a peer-guided text study called havruta. This was enjoyed by all and will become an integral part of our curriculum.

Next week we will be working on Badgequest. Please have your child bring in their username and password for youtopia.com to class next week. If you don’t have this information please contact Kate Kim at kim@rodefshalom.org.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me. I love hearing from parents!
